- 8 pieces lean pork chops
- 1 tablespoon Grace Hello Margarine
- 12 small Irish potatoes, diced
- 6 small onions, chopped
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 cup water
- 0.25 cup molasses
- 0.5 cup slices of ripe olives (optional)
- 0.25 cup raisins
- 2 teaspoons Grace White Cane Vinegar
Directions
- Over moderate heat, brown pork chops well on both sides in Grace Hello Margarine in a heavy skillet or dutch pot with cover, turning once. Drain excess fat.
- Add potatoes and onion to skillet, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
- Combine water, molasses, olives, raisins and Grace Vinegar; mix well and pour over chops.
- Cover and simmer over low heat until meat is fork tender (for about 30 minutes), turning chops once.
TO SERVE:
Garnish with thick slices of peeled sliced ripe bananas, slices of peeled deseeded oranges and thin unpeeled slices of seeded limes.
